The cons of having a motorcycle in such places are:
Not comfortable since you will have to stop every now and then.
Climate/weather can impact your commute.(Rain/snow)
You cannot go shopping if you suddenly decide to.
Overall you will physically be more uncomfortable on a motorcycle.
If you live in a properly planned huge country/city with lots of open roads like the USA or Australia/Russia . Then a higher capacity Car is the obvious choice.
