William miller calculation on the date of christ’s return
October 22, 1844, Also known as the date of the “Millerites’ Great Disappointment” was ‘calculated by William Miller among with associates believing solely on the verse:
Daniel 8:14-
“Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”
This, was then determined as 10/22/1844, based on a calendar of the Karaite Jews also by leaning on the ‘day-year principle’. Beginning at 457 BC the time of ‘the rebuilding of Jerusalem’ , they calculated the ‘Second coming’ to be at “the tenth day of the seventh month of the present year, 1844”
